Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a artist who was born in Newark New Jersey on 9th August 1963. Her parents are gospel superstars Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard), and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick is also a singer. In Newark, Whitney began singing with the choir of the church as a small child. at the age of 15, she joined her mom in singing background vocals on Chaka's hit Im Every Woman from 1978. Then, she performed background vocals for Jermaine Jackson and Lou Rawls and even her mother. Her vocals with the band from New York Material brought attention to major record labels such as Arista. The label signed her to Arista in 1983 and spent the remainder of her career. Whitney Houston became the top-selling debut single for a new artist in the year. Singles such as The Greatest Love of All, How Will I Know If You Give Good Love, and Saving the Day and All My Love were all released from the album. It sold more than 44 million copies across the globe. The same year, she married Bobby Brown who was a former New Edition singer. She had their sole daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN anchor and political reporter.
