Ann aged 16 when she began her study at the Neighborhood Playhouse, the Musical Theatre Academy. Also, she studied in the studio of Sandy Meisner. Ann started singing in highschool along with fellow students, and then formed an ensemble. Also, she performed in a season of summer stock stage on stage at the Berkshire Playhouse in Stockbridge, Massachusetts performing in plays like The Pajama Game" and West Side Story. Ann's appearance as a member of her band at an event for fashion was when Gloria Schiff, editor of Vogue Magazine, discovered Ann. In less than a week, editor-in chief Diana Vreeland commissioned Ann to shoot her first Vogue Cover with photographer Richard Avedon. Ann then became one the top models across the country, appearing on covers for the biggest magazines for fashion. They comprised Vogue Bazaar as well Cosmopolitan. Ann became a popular model throughout Europe, Japan and other global markets for 2 months. She posed as the face of giants in cosmetics such as Max Factor Revlon or Chanel.
